Is anyone familiar with and with the sound of Katie Melua??

Katie accompanies her own pleasant, bright and lyrical voice on guitar. Her debut album was produced by Mike Batt, but the album doesn't resemble in anyway Vanessa-Mae's 'The Violin Player,' or Maksim's 'The Piano Player.'

I have a copy of her cd somewhere,
Katie Melua is very similar to the gorgeous and talented
New Zealand born Bic Runga.
Same style Vocals and the same style and sounding acuostic
guitar work.
Except listening to the two of them i would say Katie is more
Blues and Bic is more jazz orientated.

Out the two of them Bic any day, I think Aventine would
probably agree being a Kiwi

Thanks for the Link Rijko it is nice to find out more about her.

Yeah, I too have Katie's cd. I plan to buy Bic Runga as well. You're right Arioch, Bic is more jazz orientated.

Hey, it's cool that you guys are familiar with Bic Runga over there. She is awesome, I have almost all her cds. I don't have any of Katie Melua though, but since she is comparable to Bic, I will check it out for sure.

I think Bic is half Chinese too.
