daughter desparate to go to a concert

Hello , i am new
I have joined the forum manly for my daughter she is obsessed with the violin and Vanessa Mai. Last year she pretended to play an imaginary violin with a chopstick lol she is age 8. We were on a long waiting list for lessons and she started 6 month ago she is even more obsessed now getting up to play before school and after. She has just got her 1st report and 6 A' s with lovely comments from her teacher to say that she is a pleasure to teach and he has never had a student progress so fast in only 6 months. She does struggle but puts the time in because she wants to be like Vanessa.

Can anyone help , we would really love to take her to see Vanessa i cant find any dates for 2011 2012 except cyprus and that is next month too short notice for us on the cash front lol from the uk.
We would beable to go to europe
We are taking her to the proms at harewood house to see how she likes that and then maybe next yr albert hall

Any help greatfully recieved.

Welcome to this forum, and of course to your daughter as well.

Unfortunately, Vanessa-Mae does only a handful of concerts the past years. She is in between albums, but we do not know when her next album will be released. She will probable do more concerts once a new album has been released. In the meantime, wee list all concert dates that we know of in the following topic of this forum, see:

That is wonderful to hear of such a young and dedicated Vanessa-Mae fan. Please give her all the encouragement you can. Playing the violin is difficult, but anyone that is as dedicated as you say your daughter is will succeed. She has picked a very wonderful person to emulate. Thankyou all so much i didnt realise thats how it worked i,m not big on concerts its a shame we have to wait and then prob fight for the tickets lol.I will keep reading and so will my daughter.
Do you know were i can get a really nice poster of Vanessa Mai with her violin for her suitable for a 8 yr old bedroom ??

I found the poster on EBay. Search for " vanessa mae ", and search for "All Categories" Scroll down and on the left side search "Worldwide" This will give you more or less 500 items. There is only one seller that has the poster, the rest you see that show this picture are for CD's. This seller is about halfway or more back. Here is what to look for:
