This indeed will be a point of contention. The visitor who came here had the same complaint might want to remember that Vanessa-Mae is an entertainer. She wasn't involved in the war crimes that are alleged; nor does her performance means she condones the terrible acts mentioned. She has every right not to comment on the situation for the very simple reason that it doesn't really involve her.
Put it another way .. No one would pay any mind if someone objects to Vanessa-Mae performing for U.S. officials, though the U.S. has been roundly criticized for invading Iraq, costing tens of thousands of lives and immense suffering arguably making the country even worse off than before the invasion.
