I didn't see this one brought up in the old forum so I'll post something about it here.

Daisy informed us that there is now a Best of Vanessa-Mae album which has been released in Europe (I think). It includes tracks such as Art of War and hits from Violin Player and Storm etc.

I haven't got the cd myself yet, but I know a couple of us VM-F regs have already. Perhaps they can tell us more about it?

I think Rijko got his from http://www.cd-wow.com

Hi aventine. I was just starting to post a message on the 'Best of Vanessae-Mae' cd, but noticed that you did it already shortly before me.

I ordered the cd form the link you provided indeed. I heard form EMI Holland that the collection will be released in the Netherlands, probably end August or early September. I received the cd yesterday.

Here is the track listiing:
Art of War
Toccata and Fugue
Destiny
Nessun Dorma (part of violin fantasy on Puccini's Turandot)
I Am a Doun
Storm
I Feel Love
Bach Street Prelude
Aurora
The Original Four Seasons - 'Winter prt2
Contradanza
White Bird
The Org. FS - 'Summer' prt1
Happy Valley
Devil's Trill
Solace
Art of War - with enhanced video element

This selection of her music, in my opinion, adequately showcases Vanessa-Mae as an exceptionally technically skilled and versatile violinist and as a brilliant musician.

The video version of 'Art of War' is a nice compilation of all her single video clips with some additions from the 'Storm on World Tour' movie.

The booklet contains pictures that we all know from other booklets ands brochures and two pictures that were featured in FHM last year. These FHM photos are also owned by Vanessa-Mae and EMI, since there is no acknowledgement to other copyrights. As you can see in the link provided by aventine, the front picture is a beautiful close-up of our Vanessa-Mae, showing her wonderful and perfectly made-up visage in detail; she looks gorgeous and nice!!

Vanessa-Mae says in her personal note refering to the 'Violin Player' period 7 years ago:
---
"I was overwhelmed to discover that, in fact, millions of people all over the world agreed with me that the violin could be a contemporary instrument capable of far more than repeating standard classical repertoire."
---

She is so right in this indeed, as we all know!

She also says a thank you word:

---
"I can only thank all the people out rhere who have come with me on my musical adventure so far for their support. This is just the beginning, I can promise you!"
---

Well, let's wait fot the release of her next classical album later this year.

I got the cd yesterday, it is out all over Latvia, and it is doing pretty good, it was last weeks most sold cd, she even beat the Eminem and most proud that also Britney Spears!!
The track list is great, actually when I first saw this cd, I thought that the Art Of War video will be something new, or power of c, but it was a compilation of her video, which is also good for those people who only now with this cd discover the beautiful music which creates Vanessa!
And the booklet is also nice - beautiful pictures, really like the words - ''This is just the beginning, I can promise you!"
So nice cd, I like it - actually I like all Vanessa-Mae cd's!! :D

I have made scans of the booklet. Here is the link form where you can download a zip file with the scans (about 3Mb):

I bought the album just a couple of days ago. (thanks Rijko for telling me it was there).
As said by Arup I do not mind I have all the tracks on other albums.
The enhanced part makes up for everything else. It is surely a collectors item for the fans.
