Which movies are the best of all time, in your opinion? I'd be interested to know of any good international titles too.

This is a tough question. I am sure that as time goes by, my thoughts will be "I should have said ___."

OK, first response based on being original with lots of affects ... the entire Star Wars series.

Favorite movies ... hummm ... you run out of disk space on the server long before i finish listing and describing them :) ... But i ll try to be brief ...

The Red Violin: Wonderful Canadian movie that won tons of internationnal awards. Its the story of a perfect violin from its creation to present day. It features a great soundtrack played by Joshua Bell.

Dune: Well, as my nickname implies i m a Frank Herbert fan.The old movie is avrage, but the 2 new 6 hours series produced by the sci-phi channel are excellent.

The Matrix: Ground breaking movie ... need i say more?

The lord of the rings: ....

Ronin: Great car chase :)

P.S. The Red Violin is a GREAT movie to watch alone with a woman... It will get tears to here eyes, and will get her in a cuddly mood... Money back warranty...

I used to be a big Star Wars fan but after watching episode I and II i'm not a big fan anymore.

I'd have to say Lord of the Rings is the best movie, and the Matrix is good too... i must watch matrix reloaded once it comes out in 2 weeks.

Ok I've never been a star wars fan, but my brother is and after making me watch it several times I think it's alright.

Other movies I liked are Fight Club (I basically love most of Ed Norton's movies. He's an awesome actor), The Matrix, American Beauty, Schindler's List, Dead Poets Society... they're the more mainstream ones I guess. One movie I'm going to make an effort to see sometime soon is Gloomy Sunday... I don't know why I never got around to it.

There's actually tons more which I absolutely loved but I can't remember the name of them. I should actually ask everyone to vote a favourite movie from each genre...

Btw, I'll say Lord of the Rings after I've seen all three. So far it's fantastic.

Speaking of films,

Event Horizon,
I was told that our girl makes an appearance, in the main
control room.
Is it our girl ???
I've never seen the film but it looks like I will have to watch
it to see if it's true.
