Me too..

That's for getting pops ups and not for wondering about
sex Pheromones :)

Aventine,
it's not a job that you are doing on the side is it?
Just wondering :;):

Popups do not show up if I login to the forum. I don't think these poups are forum or FSVM related.

We have a paid hosting for the froum and the FSVM website, so unwanted popups should not be a part of this.

I think that it's more likely down to third party (freeware)
software we've installed on our systems.
I get pop ups from freeware dvd veiwing software, it's a bit annoying that some times you typing away then u get a pop-up.

But this is the price you pay when you can't be bothered to purchase the full product.

Darn, I am not getting any of these links.

I disabled my pop up blocking software, and logged out - then back in, but they still don't appear for me. What steps are you both doing to get these to appear?

im not sure what that <% GENERATOR%> thing is for, but i dont think it does anything.
ive got a popup blocker on, which puts an icon in my status bar if a window tries to pop up with out my say so, and this hasnt gone off at all on this site
the popups experienced could be to third party software like Arioch said.

p.s
Atreides, i didnt like mozilla, it was slow, so now i use a mozilla spin off called Phoenix. a basic web browser with non of the unwanted extras.

I use Norton Internet Security, but I am not sure if I'd recommend it. It crashed on me six months ago. When I uninstalled and reinstalled, it refused to work. In the end, I had to uninstall, delete all files left over, remove all registry keys, then reinstall. Good thing I didn't need to spend $30 plus $3 a minute while talking to their Tech Support.

A U.S. consumer magazine really gave them a bad write up this month about this (or a similar) issue.

Overall, it seems to block everything I need it to block. Before installing it for the first time, people had hacked through my Windows XP firewall. Norton discovered this ... and told me to reformat my computer.

Mines built into my web browser, it comes with the blocker as part of the package.
im not sure if the browser i use comes on windows or not.
its called Phoenix, a version of mozilla, a quick look, i only found it for under linux

joe_mate, ive heard bad things about Norton Internet Security, the problem when u remove it and reinstall it, from what ive heard is common with Norton. Norton is good as long as its not uninstalled then reinstalled (ive only eva used it once a while ago)

there are a few different popup stoppers out there, you just need to look and find one that suits you and the browser you use.
