Hi All,
Sorry to bother you all with this.... I wondered if we could all maybe consider an idea that I have had and get together in a show of unity to our chums down at Sony music. In view of our VM's high profile right now and a distinct lack of quality product, maybe it might be a good idea if we were to all post a request on the new Sony VM website regarding a DVD release? I understand that there might be problems with who owns the rights to what material here (EMI/Sony) but surely if Sony are as good in the marketing department as they seem to be (and they certainly seem much better than the people at EMI) they might give the idea a little consideration. The footage that springs to mind is the unreleased "Storm on World Tour" show (which would be just AWESOME - we deserve better that TV sourced VHS copies), maybe backed up with some promo videos as extra features, although in view of the imminent album and I asume promotional tour, maybe a disc of one of the new shows might be a more likely proposition. Personally, I would like to see both! Anyway, have a think about the idea and maybe we can all get together and have a chat about the idea? After all, we are the people who purchase the product and customer demand is quite a weighty arguement..... I guess it's like the old saying - "if you don't ask, you don't get"...
Here's hoping!
Steve.

I posted something like this in a sort of request already in the Sony forum. I also had an email communication with someone in high position in the Sony publicity department and filed such a request. This lady told me that she considered it a good idea, but that she had no clue whether a DVD is already planned.
Steve, I suppose that best thing to do is that you start a topic with the request in the Sony forum. Others can then post their support for the idea.
