Messages keep disappearing - After x amount of days?

Some of my older messages seem to disappear. I know that I definitely didn't delete them. Are they being removed after a certain amount of days?

I'm not sure on this answer. I don't check my inbox that often.

It could be after 30 days.

It could also be based on after x amount of messages received, and no time limit (as if there is a maximum to have in the Inbox area).

They definitely do disappear after 30 days. Glenn sent me some on March 22nd. Those are gone, and I didn't delete any since then.

I think Joe is right. I don't have any older than 30 days too. There is no description saying that messages are automatically deleted after 30 days period.

You can make a new box via the 'prefences' link. Maybe this works to save important messages.

This may be an ikonboard thing, not a preference thing.

your right joe_mate, it could be an inbuilt ikonboard thing to save space on a server.
i must say, forums are probabbly one of the few areas of the net i dont know about, so ill let aventine try solve this one,

Sorry guys, have neglected this topic for awhile due to a crazy last month or so.

Ok, I've just fixed this problem.

Now the messages won't be "pruned" till 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 days...

Sorry for the inconvenience of messages lost before though. Hope they were nothing too important. :bsad:

Interesting, messages I looked at 2 days ago to collect some info I sent in a PM to Rijko to send to Arioch are now gone today. It may be that the inbox cannot hold more than 5 messages and newer messages pushed those out. It is just odd. I have now move a few messages to the storage folder to see it that will stay.

Could be I hadn't posted (activated my account) to the new forum look and was under old rules last time.

Hope PMs dont take up too much of your forum space.

Strange, the inbox should hold more than 5 messages. Were these new messages that disappeared? Or have you had them for awhile? :scratch:
