Interesting new line of violin

I catched by chance the premier of video by a new comer on the violin scene, Chien Tan, Canadian borned chinese violinist that currenly plays for the oregon synphony. She seems like an 'Ok' player, altouht it is difficult to judge considering the unusual instrument she was using. She is probably more versatile and outspoken on a classic violin.

In that video she showcased a new type of violin, the treble violin, which is 1 octave higher then a regular violin.

Check it out, that violin has an interesting sound to say the least. Altought over exposure might lead to ear bleeding caused by the high pitch

It's an interesting sound but I wouldn't want to listen to a lot of it. I prefer the tone of an ordinary violin.
